About CCT Rx Shortage Solutions

CCT Rx Shortage was created given the need in the marketplace for a credible database that can capture information on drug shortages on a daily basis; explain the reasons for the shortage; the history of shortage for the particular drug and proving a list of potential alternatives for pharmacists to consider, thereby ensuring proper continuation of therapy management for the patients.

CCT Rx Shortage is a web-based application that uses sophisticated proprietary algorithms to thoroughly search publicly available databases including the FDA’s site, which are updated by manufacturer reporting, and capture the latest drug shortage information. CCT Rx Shortage then analyzes the gathered data each day and synthesizes the results into an intelligently organized, searchable, information tool that is easy to use and customizable to individual users or practice environments.

CCT Rx Shortage application is targeted to the many pharmacies encountering drug shortages as they work to ensure fulfilment of patient’s prescriptions and ensure continuity of therapy.

The application (CCT Rx Shortage) is owned by Cold Chain Technologies, Inc. or CCT. The application was developed by ShortStop-Rx LLC.

ShortStop-Rx LLC was founded by two pioneers in Pharmacy Automation and health Informatics, David Swenson, and Dennis Tribble. With dozens of pharmacy automation and informatics patents between them, Dave and Dennis have been directly involved in the evolution of pharmacy technology for over 40 years.

The two organizations, CCT and ShortStop-Rx have partnered together to make this application commercially available to pharmacists in the US.
